It has been quite long since Joomla! 1.6 Alpha came, and there have been a lot of changes made in Joomla! 1.6 since then. Further, it was also decided to adapt the architecture slightly to follow Joomla!.
It took a bit more time than I expected to sort the extension out for a release candidate version, but it's here now. It isn't feature complete, due to the stability of Joomla! it was very hard to work with it. So I decided to create a good basic
The basic migration process from the 1.5 Component to 1.6 core com_content is almost finished! A demo site[1] is now available with joomla 1.6 installed, where you can test in the backend the revision control functionality.
